Cannabis Confusion: Can I get ‘high’ on medical marijuana?
Legalization of medical marijuana in some provinces/states of the US and Canada brought with it certain expectations. Many hospitals have been inundated with the number of calls they receive on a daily basis from prospective clients requesting for the product.
Most people, as reported by Dr. Grinberg of the Miami Hialeah Medical Group, Florida have no idea that medical marijuana is totally different from the drug used for recreational purposes because medical marijuana is used to help people suffering from certain real bad diseases.
Therefore, it is wrong of recreational marijuana users to think that they will get the same euphoric ‘high’ from medicinal marijuana.
Medical Marijuana with high THC that causes euphoria is just for cancer patients. The low THC and high CBD is for the rest of the illness like HIV, Muscle Spasms, Glaucoma and all other illnesses that are currently approved to be treated with the drug after doctors have certified that all other forms of therapy have been exhausted.
In fact, medical marijuana is prescribed in such small amounts to be taken daily and with low THC, medical marijuana can hardly cause the euphoric ‘high’ that most recreational users are looking for.
